September 29 Farmers Market Meeting Round Up

• Discussion and planning for creating online vendor promotional pages and market ordering from VC Farm Market website link. This would allow for both curbside shopping and central location drop off in Wilkesville, Allensville, Creola area, Zaleski, and Hamden via one or more market volunteers. Possibility of using grant funds for gas cards for delivery also being checked into. SNAP and potentially WIC benefits and senior citizen market coupons could be used both in person and for online ordering.
  
• Discussed liability insurance needs, Ohio food sales laws and permits, and set up logistics. Discussed setting up porta potties during market days.
• Discussed the VC Farmers Market as becoming a community hub with mini workshops at the vendor booths, children’s activities, and other adult learning and activities being a part of the weekly gathering.
• Discussed and welcomed the offer of Meigs County Market Manager Stephanie Rife’s offer of assistance in setting up our market.
• Discussed youth, church, and civic groups offering market related fundraisers and activities during the weekly event and encouraging youth entrepreneurs and crafters to participate in the vendor booths.
• Discussed creating farm to table dining experiences and tourism marketing in the Hocking Hills region.
